I grew up on Shelter Island having moved here with my family in 1966. I learned to clam and fish on Peconic Bay more than 45 years ago. I am a licensed bayman and have a commercial scallop boat that my son Mike and I use to harvest scallops in the winter. I set out a string of Blue Claw crab traps in the summer and just can't get enough of the eastend lifestyle!
I found Tubby for sale in Key Largo, Florida and fell in love with the keys. I am very lucky to summer on Shelter Island and winter in Florida.
Tubby is a Coast Guard Documented vessel licensed to fish within 100 miles of the coast and I hold a Coast Guard Captains License to carry up to 6 people on Tubby.
